Catfish Mechanics

Goal

• First to 99 lbs wins the derby.
• Leaderboard ranks by lbs, then fastest time.

Controls

• ← → / A D extend and retract your rod (left side of the lake)
• ↑ ↓ / W S raise and lower the hook
• P / Esc pause · ? / H this screen · R restart after the match

Catching fish

• Line the hook up with a fish’s mouth to hook it.
• Reel it to the surface to bank the lbs.
• Shallow rows are 2 lbs, mid rows 4 lbs, deep rows 6 lbs.
• A hooked fish that the shark touches is eaten — no points.

The other angler

• The green cat on the right is the CPU rival.
• It gets a little sharper or softer after each match based on how close the finish was.
